Head of Geography
 

This is an extremely exciting time to join our Middle Leadership Team. We are looking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner and inspiring middle leader to lead our Geography team as we seek to be one of the fastest improving departments in the country.  This role would be suitable for an experienced middle leader looking to join a dynamic and high-performing trust, or an ambitious teacher looking to step up to middle leadership.

As a leader, you will be responsible for driving forward standards of teaching and learning in geography, so that our students have the best possible chance of success. At Holmleigh Park we see our teachers as subject experts and professionals, and with disruption-free classrooms, our staff are free to focus on high-quality teaching. Our pedagogy is based on Rosenshine’s principles of instruction, with a focus on retrieval, direct instruction, and deliberate practice. Lessons are planned collaboratively, both within the department and with other schools in the Greenshaw Learning Trust. Beyond assessments, we only live mark in class.

Teacher of English
 

This is an extremely exciting time to join the English Department. We are looking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner to join our team as we seek to be one of the fastest improving departments in the country.  

At Holmleigh Park we see our teachers as subject experts and professionals, and with disruption-free classrooms, our staff are free to focus on high-quality teaching. Our pedagogy is based on Rosenshine’s principles of instruction, with a focus on retrieval, direct instruction, and deliberate practice. Lessons are planned collaboratively, both within the department and with other schools in the Greenshaw Learning Trust. Beyond assessments, we only live mark in class.

We are also a school which loves to read; as a form tutor, you will spend 20 minutes reading a classic text to your tutor group each morning and leading your tutor group in independent reading for 25 minutes at the end of each day.

Teacher of Girls' PE
 

This is an extremely exciting time to join the PE Department. We are looking to appoint an outstanding female practitioner to join our team as we seek to be one of the fastest improving departments in the country.  

At Holmleigh Park we see our teachers as subject experts and professionals, and with disruption-free classrooms, our staff are free to focus on high-quality teaching. We offer PE up to Sixth Form, and have an extremely strong extra-curricular programme of girls PE, with multiple teams competing in each sport in each year group. Our facilities include a number of grass pitches, an athletic track, netball hardcourts, a full-sized sports hall, a dance studio and a swimming pool.

We teach PE to all Key Stage 3 students, and offer the Cambridge National in Sport at Key Stage 4; this is currently one of the most popular options in the school. Our Sixth Form offers A Level PE, and are currently developing a professional pathway in Sport for students combining an Extended Diploma in Sport along with a variety of coaching and refereeing qualifications.

Teacher of Chemistry (part-time considered)
 

This is an extremely exciting time to join the Science Department. We are looking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner to join our team as we seek to be one of the fastest improving departments in the country.

We are looking to appoint a chemistry specialist with a track record of delivering excellent Chemistry results at A Level in Year 12 and 13. Your timetable will have a significant amount of Sixth Form teaching, with the remainder of your timetable being allocated to teaching combined science to Key Stage 3 and 4. Our science classrooms are newly renovated, and you will benefit from having outstanding facilities for practical experiments.

Behaviour Improvement Officer
 

This is an extremely exciting time to join our Behaviour Team. Within just a few weeks of the school joining the Greenshaw Learning Trust and relaunching itself as Holmleigh Park High School, our Behaviour Team have ensured that all lessons are now 100% disruption-free. We are now looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and resilient practitioner to join our Behaviour Team, as we look to help our students become more self-regulating by taking increased responsibility for their decisions.

Duties include supervising our On Site Provision for students who have been temporarily removed from lessons for disruptive behaviour and working with students to support their reintegration into lessons as quickly as possible. You will also be involved in supporting the launch and operation of our onsite Pupil Referral Unit, which will offer small group tuition to students from Holmleigh Park and other local schools who have been excluded from mainstream education, offering them a meaningful chance to address their behaviour and return to mainstream education.

Receptionist
 

This is an extremely exciting time to join the Main Office. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is willing to go above and beyond their call of duty. We are very optimistic about our future and the successful applicant for this post will join the school during a very exciting phase of our development.

At Holmleigh Park we see all our staff as professionals. As a Receptionist/Administrator, you will work under the guidance, support and direction of the Office Team Leader, and will be responsible for managing the reception area. You will be the first point of contact for parents/carers, visitors, students and members of our community, and will be responsible for directing communication into appropriate channels. In addition to this, you will work within the school office providing administrative support to staff within our school. You will have the opportunity to complete a First Aid qualification (having one already is an advantage) and will support our medical officer.

Catering Manager 

This is a new and exciting role, which include managing a large secondary school. The role will incorporate all areas of food development, to include creating, developing and implementing a quality service to both children and staff by thinking differently, taking risks and being passionate about food provision in order to deliver taste, freshness, value for money and variety.
