Courses
At Holmleigh Park we offer a range of subjects, combined with excellent teaching and a comprehensive programme of academic and personal support, to ensure students have the best possible chance of gaining degree level apprenticeships and places at top universities.
A Levels
Students will study three A Levels over two years. A Levels are assessed primarily by terminal examination (small proportion of coursework in some subjects). A Levels are recognised by universities and carry UCAS points, students can progress to university or direct into apprenticeships.
To study 3 A levels the entry criteria is five grade 5+ GCSEs including Mathematics and English
Language (subject specific requirements are detailed within the subject information).
Extended Certificates (BTEC / Cambridge Technical)
These qualifications are equivalent to one A level. A larger proportion of the qualification is
non-examined assessment (coursework) than A Levels.
The Extended Certificates are fully recognised by universities and carries UCAS points, enabling students to progress to university or direct into an apprenticeship. A larger proportion of the qualification is non-examined assessment (coursework) than A Levels.
