Maths - The final Countdown Week 2
Dear Parent/ Carer,
Thank you to so many of you for getting on board with this revision last week, I hadn't even mentioned it to the students before several came and told me parents were encouraging them to do it at home. Every little really does help in maths.
Answers for week 1 can now be found here, along with week 2's questions. The answers include an examiners report - which talks about how students did on these questions (they all come from past papers) and common mistakes made, and then a mark scheme - both of which it is really useful for students to be familiar with.
Mr Buckenhams class - Working towards F tier
Mr O'Gallaghers - Working towards F tier (grade 2-3)/ Crossover (grade 4-5)
Mrs Barretts - Working towards F tier (grade 2-3)/ Crossover (grade 4-5)
Mr Robinson/ Mrs Mihoc - Crossover (grade 4 - 5)/ Working above (grade 6+)
In other news in maths, we will be setting holiday homework for the students to complete in preparation for the mocks. This will consist of their usual Hegarty Maths tasks, a '10 questions a day' sheet that ideally they should do daily to keep the maths ticking over, and two past papers. I will be offering a drop in session for any students wishing to come and work in school and have maths teachers to hand to support with the work on the Friday afternoon of half term - Mrs Leech will be sending exact timings home this week.
