Maths - The final countdown Week 1
Dear Parents/ Carers,
It is now under 16 weeks until your son/ daughter sits their first GCSE maths exam. Each week I will be e-mailing out to parents a resource that you can encourage your son/ daughter to do at home to support their maths revision. There is no requirement that they evidence to their teacher that they have done the work and there will be no sanctions for not doing it, it is a revision resource rather than homework. The best way the students can prepare for maths is to practice, particularly exam questions - the more they've done the better they will perform in the exams, so it is strongly recommended that they do this and is a great way for you to get involved in helping them revise maths.
If your son/ daughter has help with maths outside of school this would be an ideal resource for them to work through in that time.
Each week I will send out the tasks, along with the answers to last weeks questions.
Students should complete the following:
Mr Buckenham - Working towards Foundation
Mr O'Gallagher - Working towards Foundation/ Crossover
Mrs Barrett - Working towards Foundation/ Crossover
Mr Robinson/ Mrs Mihoc - Crossover/ Working above Higher
Best Wishes,
Kinza Barrett
