AFTER SCHOOL SPORT AT HP

Our sports teams train after school from 3.00–4.00pm on the days listed below. All pupils are welcome to take part – they just need to bring their HP PE kit and join in.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Y9 Drama Club is run by Mr Conway on Thursdays after school in the Theatre from 3pm-4pm.

The GCSE Coursework Catch-Up Art Club is a supportive after-school session designed to help students stay on track with their art and design projects. It provides time, space, and guidance to complete or refine coursework, experiment with materials, and develop ideas for their portfolios. Whether you’re finishing sketchbook pages, improving final pieces, or exploring new techniques, this club is the perfect opportunity to focus and make creative progress towards their GCSE in art. It is held in H16 on Wednesdays after school 3pm-4pm with Miss Martin. 

Art Club - Would you like to see a piece of your artwork displayed in the Royal Academy of Art London? We are looking for students to create a piece of work to be entered into the Royal Academy Young Artist competition. This is open to all students and will run on a Thursday after school 3pm-4pm in H17 with Miss Parker.

Axiom Maths Club - Every obstacle is just a puzzle to be solved! Join us for a fun session exploring maths, enjoy getting stuck as well as getting unstuck. Mr Tarr runs the Y7 club on Thursdays in M9 and Mrs Mihoc runs the Y8 club on Fridays, both running 3pm-4pm. Contact s.tarr@hphigh.co.uk or r.mihoc@hphigh.co.uk for more information.

Year 10 Spanish Workshop - All students studying Spanish for GCSE are welcome to come along to practise exam skills, revise topics, get homework help or build their confidence with speaking in smaller groups or with additional support. Each session will focus on a different skill and can be student-led, so if you have a skill or topic you want to focus on, it can be tailored to the group attending. This runs every Wednesday from 3pm-4pm with Miss Grinham in A6.

Homework club is held every day in IT3 after school. It is held in a computer room and offers support for anyone requiring any extra help completing their homework. It runs 3pm-4pm from Monday to Thursday and 3pm-3:30pm on Fridays.

Champions Hour is held for Y11 students after school in the library from 4pm-5pm. It offers a space for students to complete supervised independent work to increase their chances of success. It has a lovely atmosphere for studying (and always a tin of biscuits!).

 

LUNCHTIME CLUBS

Christian Union is held on Tuesday lunchtimes in M3.

Maths Higher GCSE  is held on Tuesdays in M8. Open to all students to gain confidence in Maths exam questions.

 

BEFORE SCHOOL CLUBS

Breakfast club is held in the Theatre every morning before line up between 8am - 8:25am. It is run by our Teaching Assistants, who provide a warm welcome to start the day. Pupils can help themselves to free breakfast items to set themselves up for the day ahead.
