Khurshid said:

“I was expecting the results, because I worked so hard for them, but it was so exciting to see them. My teachers supported me so well across the two years and my advice to future Year 11 students is to learn all the content in Year 10 the first time so you have an advantage in Year 11.”

Headteacher celebrates students and staff

Headteacher Dan Hudson said:

“I am incredibly proud of all of our Year 11 students and what they have achieved today. There are so many individual successes to celebrate, and it has been fantastic this morning to see the pride on students’ faces as they open their results and begin to think about their next steps.

“These results represent a significant achievement for our students. We have achieved our highest-ever number of Grade 7+ results and, importantly, have seen increased attainment year-on-year across a range of measures. Behind those headline figures are the individual stories of students working hard, overcoming challenges and achieving results of which they can be proud.

“I would like to thank all of our teachers and support staff for their commitment to our students over the past two years. Their hard work, alongside the determination of our Year 11 students, has helped so many young people achieve their potential.

“I wish all of our Year 11 students every success for their next steps. We look forward to welcoming many of them to Holmleigh Park Sixth Form in September, while we wish those moving on to colleges, apprenticeships, employment and other destinations the very best for the future.”
