HP Families Weekly Bulletin - Friday 17th July 2026
In this bulletin: We reflect on another successful academic year, share important information about examination results and the September return, remind families about uniform, equipment and Free School Meals, invite prospective families to book Open Tours, and celebrate the new edition of The Holmleigh Edition.
Dear HP families,
As we reach the end of another academic year, I would like to thank all our families for your support and the positive partnership you have shown throughout the year. It has been a very strong year for HP and the role you play in supporting your children and working alongside us is a significant part of that success. I hope all of our students have a safe, enjoyable and well deserved summer holiday and I look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another exciting year.
I would also like to wish our Year 11 and Year 13 students every success as they await their examination results. Results Day for Year 13 will take place on Thursday 13th August and Results Day for Year 11 will take place on Thursday 20th August. We look forward to celebrating their achievements with them and supporting them as they move on to the next stage of their education or career.

Uniform and Equipment
A reminder to all families to ensure students are fully prepared for September with the correct uniform and equipment. Full details can be found here: https://www.hphigh.co.uk/expectations/uniform?action=saved.
Free School Meals
If your child currently receives Free School Meals, Government transitional protection arrangements will end at the conclusion of this academic year. To ensure eligibility is confirmed for September 2026, families must complete the following application form: https://apply.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims-greenshawlearningtrust. If you believe your circumstances have changed and you may now be eligible, we encourage you to submit an application.
Year 5 and Year 6 Open Tours
If you know families with children currently in Years 5 or 6 who are considering HP, we strongly recommend they visit us to see HP on a normal working day. Rather than holding traditional Open Mornings, we believe it is far more valuable for prospective families to experience the day to day life of HP. Tours are normally led by the Headteacher or another member of the Senior Leadership Team and take place in small groups. Autumn 2026 tours can now be booked here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/holmleigh-park-y5-and-y6-open-tours-tickets-1993613607968?aff=oddtdtcreator
The Holmleigh Edition
The final edition of The Holmleigh Edition is now available and we are incredibly proud of the students who have produced six excellent editions throughout the year. This bumper summer edition includes student spotlight interviews covering sport and culture, recommendations for summer days out, an interview with Mr Park, and reveals the winner of the staff photography competition. Congratulations to Dr Masters, whose winning photograph features on the front cover. We hope you enjoy reading it: https://www.hphigh.co.uk/character-programme/student-newspaper/the-holmleigh-edition-summer-edition.
I wish you all a lovely weekend,
Mr Hudson
